How We Approach Asphalt in Baton Rouge
Elite Asphalt Paving Baton Rouge builds and maintains asphalt driveways, parking lots and private drives across East Baton Rouge Parish and the parishes around it: Ascension, Livingston, West Baton Rouge and Iberville. The work runs from new driveways and gravel-to-asphalt conversions to resurfacing, pothole and edge repair, sealcoating, commercial lot paving and striping.
Paving here is a water problem first. Baton Rouge averages close to 62 inches of rain a year, the ground is flat, and most streets outside the older neighborhoods drain to open ditches. Pavement fails when water gets under it and stays there, so every estimate starts with two questions: where does the water go, and what is the ground like under the surface?
At the estimate we walk the whole area, measure it, look for soft spots, ponding and broken edges, and look at where the driveway meets the street. If it crosses a ditch, there is a driveway pipe involved, and the City-Parish has rules about what kind and how long. If it meets a state highway, the Louisiana DOTD has its own permit. We tell you which applies up front.
What you can expect
- A written, itemized quote: removal, base work, stone depth, compacted asphalt thickness and any drainage or culvert work, each priced.
- A straight repair-or-replace answer. If patching and sealing will buy you years, we say so.
- Utility locates requested through Louisiana One Call before any digging or grading.
- Paving scheduled around the weather, not just an open date on the calendar.
- Any change to the scope put in writing for your approval before the work is done.
